“We love it! Cats love it & zero smell. Only downfall if I can think of just one to be picky about-- its pretty dusty when pouring or stirring up alot. Doesn't bother me, but may with others”
“I got this after the large grain silica- they were pulling the round balls out, with or without poo on them, to play with. (they have several REAL toys. the silica rolls nicely?) The Diatomite would be a 'natural' option, but my dudes are black with grey undertones. This has a dust in the bag (I'm sure it helps with pee absorbtion) but we switched this pretty quickly; they dig a lot even in fresh litter... So this powder had to be brushed out. We ended up with Scoopfree with a regular lidded litter pan. It's still dusty but they don't play with it. I'm using two bags in ten days, though, because Scoopfree doesn't take a lot of pees before it looks like warm play doh.”
“great odor control. How about mixing it with the lightweight silica litter? Fred and Lucy are completely happy with it but for their old-lacy-apartment-dweller mom it is okay, but not great. Cheers for the odor control.”
“Love the absorption quality! It absorbs liquid quickly and dries the poos fast for very good odor control. It is a bit dusty upon pouring it, but the dust settles quickly, Far better than silica dust. The issue for me is the size of the granules. They are very tiny and because they are so lightweight stick to my cats paws and hair. If they didn't track so bad I would switch to this litter. P.s. my cat box poop robot loves this litter, very easy to sift!”
“Bought this but almost brought skoon. I was hesitant about skoon cause my boy Samson, a diabetic, didn’t like the large silica litter transitioning from clay. My girl Delilah is healthy and uses whatever I give her. After about a week in with the kitty poo boxes with large silica, samson was peeing on the carpet. I had two boxes. Anyways… Over the past few months I’ve tried various crystal-type litter and hate the smell once it wears out. I like that crystal/silica litter doesn’t have to be scooped for urine…but clay always had superior feces odor control (depending on what you’re using). I was planning on trying the silica again but saw this pop up. Paid 12.99 hoping for faster shipping but showed up in the same amount of time as my first and only purchase many months back. It’s very dusty with the bag. They probably filter out the dust if your buy the box, at least skoon does (but has the same dust problem if you buy just the bag. Delilah already used it, didn’t smell a thing. Let’s see how this one pans out. To be continued…”
“Comparing this litter type to the others, this stands out above the rest! It maintains freshness, the cat's seem to like it, it is less messy and texture is just right. Whether your cat is used to clay or silica, they will likely adapt to this as it is almost like a cross between the two.”
“I am having trouble with my elderly cats on thyroid medicine with urine smell and an increased amount of urine output. I have used two bags of this litter and it is a game changer for us. It really soaks up the urine and has a deep bedding for my cats. If any accidents outside of the litter box occur (not because of this product, but because of who my cats are as cats) I sprinkle some of this on it and it soaks it up before I clean it with a bleach cleaner. The cats do drag some of it out on the floor, but it is an easy vacuum or broom job.”
“The DE litter is the best litter I've had and used by far, and I've had cats my whole life. There's no urine smell and it absorbs the urine on contact. Best product ever!”
