“I transitioned my adult male tabby to this litter with no difficulty. The first time he stepped onto the litter, the texture gave him a start but he quickly figured it out. This fellow is terrible at remembering to “cover,” which usually is a major issue. This litter is excellent for dehydrating the “poo,” making life MUCH better in this house. Scooping the box is different (not a clumping litter), but the technique was quick to adapt. I have found that a daily “stir” to mix the wet areas, keeps the odor control active. Once the litter becomes opaque and shows a slight change in color, I know it is time to replace it. This is an amazing procedure: all that is needed is to scoop (I use a plastic scoop similar to the typed used for birdseed) the litter into a bag for disposal, wipe (or vacuum any dust on the bottom of the box. Next, I use a paper towel and white vinegar to wipe the sides and bottom of the litter box, pour in the new KittyPoo litter and its ready for the next few weeks. Yes, weeks! Absolutely the best litter... and I have tried many. Great job, KittyPoo!!!”
