“Overall the litter was fine. My younger cat did not mind it at all. However my older cat did so I had to switch back to the other one. It did keep the odors down and the dust down. The design was seems feasible. Both my cats are adults not kittens.”
“I ordered the fine silica starter set. The setup was super easy and as soon as I placed it next to the old litter, my kitten was immediately drawn to the fine silica and used it immediately! I'm not kidding she went ahead and did her business there and never looked back at the old litter box setup. It's very easy to scoop out and simply stir the urine. I will say I have noticed a significant amount of dust in the fine silica powder which concerns me. I can see the fine crystalline dust particles floating and swirling around me as I scoop the litter I can only imagine it's worse when the kitten is in there digging around. I don't want kitten inhaling the silica dust much lees myself or my children as it can lead to severe health issues. I will switch to the large silica to see if I notice a difference. Otherwise, that will be the end of our use with silca and will stay with the previous non dust brand we used.”
“Switched to the fine grain because the older formula hurt when you stepped in on it (we have wood floors). I don't believe this new formula, the fine grain, does as good of a job though. We have just two cats, and two boxes - and get shipment every 3 weeks. By week two the grains are all yellow and already getting stinky. And I stir vigourously each day and scoop the poop out daily as well. Still love the convenience, just wish it was working as well as it used to.”

“I love that it's less messy, with virtually no dust, and easy to maintain with multiple daily stirs to dry the crystals, and it's easy to remove poop. I didn't give it 5 stars because it does not last as long as advertised. I have ONE cat, but I have to change/replace the litter within TWO WEEKS. Although it mentions it MAY last a month, I think that's a poor claim.. for the cost, especially now that the price has gone up. If I could get it to last just three weeks, that would be great, but it needs to be tossed (from urine odor, even though stirred often, several times a day) within two weeks.”
