“We have been using the silicone litter for about a year now. I thought I would try this stuff because our new puppy kept eating the cat's remnants and it made him sick. Positives: 1. the clumping works really well, making it easy to clean (so long as you wait for the urine to dry). 2. it works pretty well to prevent odor, unless you are right over the litter box cleaning it out. Negatives: 1. it's expensive BECAUSE it clumps. One bag doesn't last a month, because you have to replace what you scoop out. So, it can cost as much as two or three times that of the silicone. 2. the silicone based litter seemed to be almost if not equally effective at preventing odor. 3. the dog STILL gets sick if he gets into the box... lol”
“The pieces are way too big & take forever to filter through my scooper. The litter has a strong, sweet smell—like sweetened soy milk. When it gets wet, it dissolves into a thick, gummy goop that sticks to the litter box & scooper. I’m amazed that this is sold for this use. It’s about as bad as it could be.”
“I had great hopes, transitioned the recommended way, but one of my cats refused to go near it as soon as it got wet and poofed up. I stayed diligent but eventually the other followed suit. So after 2 months I gave up. Now we are switching to clay. We used silica buy we decided something clumping would work better for us. I gave it 3 stars because I still think it's a fantastic product and I recommend giving it a shot, my cats just don't agree.”
