“I got a bigger box for my big boned kitty who had a stroke and it’s been a life saver for her. What I love about these boxes is the flexibility when you multiple kitties with different issues. I have more than one cat and for my kitty with the stroke even with the lower opening it’s still a little too high for her. I take a box cutter and just cut the opening even lower for her and its easy and takes less than 30 seconds. I could never do that with a plastic box. And the larger size makes it easier to turn around. She just loves these boxes. I would recommend to consider the larger size not just for a bigger kitty but even for a cat with mobility issues it’s been a complete game changer.”
“My only suggestion would be to add another coating on the side walls, inside. My big boy likes to urinate on the same wall every time he goes… Every now and then I could see it soaks through to the other side”
“I guess using it for multiple cats is not a good idea. It does hold a lot more litter, however my lovely cats like to pee outside the box which soaks the lid and it smelled so bad! If you have one cat or two it may be a good fit but it is large , holds a lot of litter. It does get heavy and soiled, for me I’d rather not use the xl large box”
“3 stars because it really has potential!! I was so excited when I saw there was a new larger size box. But the litter is so heavy the box arrives all bent up and most recently broken because it’s so hard for the delivery people to carry it. I’m switching back to the smaller box just because of the weight and poor condition the XL arrives in. If you can get a more light weight clay litter or figure out something to make the box sturdier/easier to carry that would be great!”
