“I love that the diatomite is less dusty then the silica, and it does track less outside of the litter box, but I’m not sure it’s any better at absorbing the smell. I’m going to give it another try before deciding which litter type to stick with.”
“Love the whole concept. Our cat loved it upon arrival. However after about 9 nine days stopped using. Not clear the reason for not using. The box was sturdy and the litter looked clean. However there was a urine smell that may have kept him away. Thanks”
“I initially thought it was great. I have two cats and maybe it was just too much. After a week it smelled but by the second week I just could not stand it and threw it out. I ordered the clay again. Myy cats like that one better too.”
“The diatomite litter has no dust, and hides odors excellently. Due to the size and color of the grains, it is a little more visible when our cat tracks it around the house. I’ll switch back to the fine silica, but it’s only because the diatomite shows up more with our carpet & floor colors. Otherwise, no complaints!”
“I tried the Diatomite hoping it would reduce the odor, but found that the fine grain silica works the best. Switched back to the fine grain silica after trying the Diatomite just once. Still love the kitty poo club though and I love having a brand new box every 4 weeks!”
