“I really like the convenience of Kitty Poo boxes, but I have not had any luck with the litters. The Diatomite is the worst yet. First, they send you barely enough to cover the bottom of the box. Second, it is extremely dusty. The cat tracked a trail of litter and dusty paw prints for a good 12 feet when leaving the box. Third, the litter has a strong and off-putting scent which only got worse as my cat used it. The first box smelled so bad, I had to throw it away after three days. I used extra litter in the second box, which seemed to help, but I still only got 8 days out of it. I'm not sure if it was the dust or the fumes from the urine/litter stink, but this box actually set off my smoke alarm! I am out of options with the litter at Kitty Poo, so I will now have to try to order boxes only from here on out. It's a shame.”
“Sorry to say, I was not impressed with this litter. The box smelled so bad, I threw it out after only 3 day. Went back to the fine silica which works great even if it is a bit dusty.”
“I switched to this litter from the silica hoping for less tracking by my cats. But expecting the same amazing benefits that I have experienced with the silica litter. This litter ended up tracking way worse and the smell!!! It was awful and I couldn’t do enough to keep the smell at bay. I Immediately changed my boxes back to the silica. I do not recommend this litter at all.”
“The litter seems to stick to my cat's paws, and I even have one of the mats that is supposed to prevent that. The litter does not keep the ODOR at bay. And the box seems to absorb the ODORS to.”
“I really thought the description was a bit exaggerated before trying it. The box holds up with no problem, the litter stays dry and clean after stirring without scooping clumps, and my cats did start using it right away. Originally I left my old cat litter box available with it, just in case it took time to convert them. Currently my cats decided to pee in one box and poop in the other, so I'm not sure how smooth a full swap is yet.”
