“I have two cats and always get 2 disposable boxes. I thought I'd try the diatomite litter to determine if it worked better than silicone, which was too dusty. After only a couple weeks, I will not be getting diatomite anymore. It tracks everywhere and is hard to clean up, and it doesn't last-- after a week the litter needs to be changed already. Either my cats pee a lot or this litter doesn't absorb enough. Silicone dust is easier to deal with than this stuff.”
“Just as good as silica, if not better - only drawback is you can actually see the litter scattered on the floor. Silica was there, just not as unsightly.”
“We have always gotten the silica litter and thought we would try this kind. We like the silica type a lot but this litter gets everywhere. Even with two or three mats by the box. It is hard to vacuum up in a rug with grooves in it. Like an indoor / outdoor mat. It does help keep the smell down but we think the silica is better and wil go back to it.”
