“Nope. Not even close to keeping the urine stink at bay. I was disappointed. I'm leaving the review for those thinking about using this particular formula. I have been a loyal Kitty Poo club member for years and I never smell cat pee anywhere the box is, using the Silica formula. But I decided to switch it up. The diatomite litter tracks everywhere and my bathroom reeked after only 6 days. Luckily, Kitty Poo club has fantastic customer service and refunded my order, which I promptly reorder the previous litter.”
“You recommended this product over the silica, and I am very disappointed with it. It tracks all over the house and lacks odor control. We only have one cat, and I have already had to dump it and put regular litter back in your box.”
“My cat had been using their fine-grain silica litter, but I like using diatomaceous earth for cleaning so I figured we'd give this a try. Both my cat and I thought it was only "OK" in comparison. It is still scoop-and-stir non-clumping, little dust, and absorbent. But it tracks out of the box more (not to the extent clay does though), isn't as good on odor control, and 3 weeks after setting it up, she decided to boycott, using the carpet directly in front of the box instead, smh. YMMV, and while I do think it's better than clay, the silica is far superior in this household's opinion.”
“It’s true to its word on being dust-free, but odor absorption is not nearly as good as your clay litter. My cat’s hang out area now smells like a cat lives there since I started using the diatomite litter.”
“The litter was overall good - just a mild amount of dust when my cats were in it. Cats seem to like it and doesn't seem to smell bad either. Box was handy to set up and be able to throw away when we're done. I do recommend!”
