“I use the Fine grain Silica in the XL Litter Box - the bigger box is a great addition for those of us with "larger than life" kitties! The size is much less confining for my cats - they are able to do their business & turn around to bury what they've left behind without stepping in anything. They seem less anxious in the bigger size as well and don't jump out as quickly as they used to. I do find that I still need to place a sheet of plastic between the box and the lid as an added measure of protection against leaking, but I think it is a very small price to pay for the rest of the benefits of this product, so I still give it a "great" rating. “I recently exchanged one of my regular litter boxes for one of the XL ones. I had added a third cat to my family and didn’t want to have three litter boxes if I could help it. It was absolutely the correct choice! All of my cats prefer to use the extra large one and it takes up less space than having to have three litter boxes. They love it. Apparently size does matter. Lol.”
“This is the only litter we’ve ever had that truly controls odor and lasts almost 2 weeks for 1 cat (as long as you scoop poop daily). We ordered the XL box because we now have 2 cats, but it isn’t necessary. We have 2 cat boxes (regular size) and the cats are good with that. The deliveries are reliable and consistent and the recyclable boxes are very convenient.”
