“In my experience, urine smell was strong with the use of the silica litter. I liked how the silica was clear and would only clump fecal waste but despite moving the litter around to neutralize the urine, I found it wasn’t the right fit for my cat after it held onto the urine smell. Went back to clumping litter as a better fit for my house.”
“Box arrived quickly and was easy to set up. I set up one to begin with (I ordered two) and left the regular litter box out initially, just in case. I noticed my older kitty immediately started using the new box, while my younger one was still partial to the old one. I waited two weeks before taking out the old litter box and setting up the second kitty poo box. The younger kitty took to it just fine, I probably didn't need to leave the old box there. I LOVE the fine grain silica litter! It doesn't clump really, instead you just kind of stir the pee back in. It has a way of really drying out/shriveling up the poop, too! Scooping is much less tedious. My cats do get the litter everywhere around the box, but I'm not noticing it anywhere else in the house. I just run the vacuum real quick after scooping. I'm pretty impressed so far!”
