“We switched from the larger-grain silica from Kitty Poo to this finer grain, and I think we have noticed less tracking. (The larger grain tracked way less than normal clay litter anyway). Or we just can’t see it as well, haha. Anyway I think the finer grain is softer on our senior cats’ paws too.”
“I use the fine grain silica and there is truly no smell. I just scoop the poop everyday and stir the litter around. There is some dust but not nearly as bad as clay litter. I have a litter mat that catches what gets kicked out or tracked out but anything else is super easy to vacuum up. I used to use the bigger silica and those hurt when you step on them! I have 2 kittens around 4 months old and one box will last 2 weeks before I replace it. I could stretch it out because there is not a smell, but the litter starts to look yellow after a while and I’d rather keep it on the fresher side. If you have a large cat, one box is only going to last one month if you are really pushing it to the max. Every 3 weeks seems to be more realistic with one adult cat. It’s a bit pricey, but not having to go to the store and lug heavy litter, not dealing with the horrible litter box smell, and the change out process being so easy makes the cost worth it. If you can afford to try it, I’d highly suggest it!”
“Answer to my kitty poo prayers. 3 solid weeks, scoop daily and stir with two cats, no smell. Going into week 3 had to replace it. So easy to scoop, I extremely please!”
“Having tried many, many, many different cat litter over the years, I am really pleased with the fine-grain silica product. It is very easy to maintain a clean cat litter area. As for the disposable box, while good for easy disposal, it is too expensive to continue purchasing and I will only buy the litter.”
“I love the box, and after looking at alternatives for days, I think it’s the only thing out there with water resistance and a reinforced base. However the fine grained silica gel litter doesn’t mask odors very well, so I’ll just be sticking with the repeat litter box delivery for now.”
