“We were having terrible trouble with our older male cat peeing everywhere that wasnt his litter box. We tried several kinds of clay litter but we still found unhappy surprise puddles. Since we started using the silica litter, he has either gone only in his box or gotten way better at hiding his misdeeds. The house smells better and I may not be making a pair of kitten mittens.
Of course he still howls like a banshee at 4am when his food bowl is empty. So the jurys out on the mittens.”
“I love Kittypoo Club I was sick and tired of carrying forty pound bags of litter down to the basement and all the time and effort of changing the litter (I had a large litter tub). I had clumping litter, so I was daily brining that up to throw in the trash. I don't miss it t all! I chose the fine-grain. I was a little worried about Zoe switching - she's always been finicky. But she did fine! I love how light weight the box is and how easy it is to change out!! I love it! I love the subscription - nothing more for me to do but wait to get it! I did buy it one time without the subscription,, just to make sure that Zoe and I both liked it. We did! I appreciate that they offer this so you can try it out.. A friend told me about Kittypoo and I'm so glad!”
“I love this concept and it's been almost perfectly executed. I cannot smell cat urine in my small home any longer. I do smell their poop because the litter does not stick to it or conceal the smell - so instant scooping is necessary. Neither myself or my boyfriend would call this litter (the fine grain silica) odorless. It has a strange, "drywall" or chemical scent. It's very dusty when stirring and scooping and honestly makes my throat and breathing feel a little weird. I plan to continue use, but might try the larger silica in hopes of less dust.”
“My cat is older and had only used clay until I ordered the "larger" silica. I was so grossed out at the dust and clay particles all over the house, and didn't realize there were other options until now! She took about a week to start peeing in it, but continued to use her old clay litterbox in the basement to poop. The larger silica seemed to be getting caught in her paws. So, for our next month's delivery, I made the change to the fine grain silica, and my saucy old kitty took to it immediately! She clearly feels comfortable both peeing and pooping in the softer texture. Only a small cloud of dust appears when I'm scooping and stirring, but there are no pieces of silica on the floor (or tables or countertops) like the clay...We will definitely continue our monthly fine grain silica delivery!”
“The box was super easy to construct and held up great. When it was time to toss it was very easy to pack up and throw out; very happy with the box. This was my first time using non clumping litter and fine grain litter. The fine grain made scooping solids super easy which I loved. I couldn’t scoop liquids though and wasn’t sure what I do do I just mixed the litter up to help disburse it. I have 2 cats and 1 kitten. To help with the transition we put the new fine grain litter next to our old litter box with clumping clay litter. Our oldest cat loved the fine grain, used it immediately and continued using that box. Our younger cat didn’t seem to take to the fine grain and kept using the clay. Our new kitten loves to play in the litter and ended up getting super excited about the fine grain. In his excitement he ended up getting a bunch of the litter in his eye which was really scary. We had to rinse his eyes out with water and thankfully it was just a couple days of irritation before he was back to normal. I think that experience scared him and he won’t go near the fine grain. I ended up switching to the pellet litter for our next order to see how that works with everyone.”
