“My constant lament, " THIS is the worst job in the house, cleaning the kitty litter box!" I wore gloves, a chemical approved mask and had to use a steel scoop to get the hardened litter out daily. I bought different little boxes, (the dome, the hooded ones, the disposable ones) they still all smelled as soon as our male cat sprayed in them. Then I would clean the whole box out every week and start over. That involved bleach, a pick and a hose. Fun! I tried different litters and even though those pine pellets came close, *urine made them dissolve and the smell was neutralized, my cat ended up not liking the huge pellets and began going outside of the box even though I had already tried adding bits of the clumping litter over top of the pine. Nope, that didnt work. Then I bought this with the disposable box. Since the granules were small enough, I knew I would be safe there but my one cat didnt like that this was not the usual kitty litter. I added a very thin layer of scoop litter over it and within days, my cats were back to their normal habits. I have only had to scoop out the solids, (*once a day and no big deal) and the other granules just seem to absorb the urine? I just stir it and its gone. My favorite feature besides not having to rent an air compressor and a jackhammer? NO smell. I can actually clean this with a scoop in less than a minute. Im getting ready to order my second box and will probably go on the automatic monthly ordering schedule soon. Were about to move and I dont want to commit to that until were in the new house. LOVE everything about this!”
