“I love the silica litter!! I have two cats and thought that $25 a month wasn’t too bad for getting a product like this…more expensive than litter but worth the moderate increase. However, each box is only made for one cat, and I have two. So now it’s $50 per month, which is too high for me. Back to regular litter for us.”
“So far I am liking this more than what I have previously used (corn based litter). I am taking a star off only because I didn’t realize that it would be so cloudy when you stir the urine. A cloud of white dusts up into the air every time and it’s hard not to breathe it in. Besides that odor control has been great and my cats transitioned no problem.”
“I'm a senior citizen and cleaning the standard box was a nightmare;too difficult and the disposable options I saw were not appealing. When I saw an ad on Facebook I clicked on it and am so glad I took a chance. No more heavy box I can barely manhandle, no more adding more and more litter all month. Easy-peasy, the box appears every 30 days, I unfold it, put on some plastic clips that old it open, cut the corner off the bag of silicon litter which is SO light & carefully pour it into the box, smooth it out and I'm done. I will say that it is very dusty, but all cat litter is, so the benefits outweigh this minor issue. I now know not to dump it in all at once, so a huge cloud of dust is not released. The silicon sucks the moisture out of the solid waste and makes it easy to scoop and odor free. Yes, sometimes there are smelly moments, stuff happens, but I just go in and cover it over and let it sit before scooping. Later in the month I have taken to adding a deodorizing "sprinkle" because I'm finicky that way. If I don't stir it every day, the yellow bits can add up and be a little unpleasant, but in comparison to other cat liters, it's heaven! Highly recommend for anyone, but especially seniors or anyone with issues that make changing a regular box painful. Because of the dust I do sometimes wear a mask, which fortunately we have plenty of, so if you've got breathing issues, I'd recommend it. Otherwise, it this is the answer to a number of prayers!”
