Standard Disposable Litter Box (Silica) Reviews

I like the ease of using this product. Maintaining a litter box was always a turn off for me but with Kitty Poo Club those concerns have all but vanished. It is so easy to simply discard at the end of 4 weeks. No mess and hassle trying to empty and sterilize a litter box all the time.

The pieces are too large to sift and get flung all over. It’s also incredibly noisy when your cat is moving it about. It holds the odor okay, but maybe lasts 3 weeks with my one cat. I’m not super impressed, I switched back to the fine silica but that starts smelling pretty awful quickly too - but it’s much easier to sift and doesn’t sound like hail on a tin roof when they’re scratching in it.

Switched probably about 2 years ago and it was the best decision ever! So easy and convient NO SMELL and my cat likes it! Also got my MIL to use it. She is elderly and it is so much easier for her than lugging jugs of litter around. She also loves it!

This system makes things soooo much easier. No more dumping smelly, heavy cat litter, cleaning out the bottom of the box and trying to get it to the garbage without the bag breaking open! Great idea and well worth the cost.

I love the kitty poo product. It is so easy to use. My only problem is I am going to try a different litter than the silica. My cats are not particularly crazy about it. I dont think they like the feel of the silica. They use it, but I have multiple boxes in my house, and they use the other boxes a bit more. I am going to try the clay type next to see if that one is better. But it is a great product, and I am going to keep using, I will just try different litter to see which works best.

I started with the large silica litter (we just switched to the organic soy). We did 2 months of silica. Its a larger litter. Looks like the salt you put down when it snows and ices outside. The litter doesnt track so much as it get flicked out when the kitty jumps out of the box. It doesnt stick to his paws, it gets flicked out. It doesnt have that "dirty" look when its on the floor the way that clay litter does. Just looks like you spilled driveway salt on the floor. That actually made me happy because I didn't feel like my floor was always dirty. I swept up the errant pebbles, but it didnt leave dust on the floor. I appreciated that. We also recently purchased a water fountain for my cat so his water intake did increase. This means he urinates more often, but there isnt a smell, even after a month. The worst part of clay litter was always that moment before the clay litter was changed. It was smelly. The silica sucks up any odor and I didnt smell anything at all. The only thing I didnt like was the silica would turn yellow as it sucked up the urine so it looked ick in the box, but still no smell. I believe its because the cat drinks more now that he has a water fountain. It looks kinda icky, but you cant tell its "full" unless you look. For this reason alone we decided to decrease delivery from every 4 weeks to every 3. We recently switched from silica to soy just to try it out, but I feel like we will switch back to the silica after this box. The only thing I would change about the setup is getting a litter rug to catch the silica grains just so they arent kicked around on the floor. I really do love this litter.
