Unfortunately, it began to rust within a couple of months, and six months in, I’m replacing the pump with a plastic top. It’s disappointing, especially since I purchased this as an upgrade from an IKEA dispenser, expecting better quality. The black metal version holds up well, but I’d avoid the brass option due to rusting issues.”

I’m truly sorry to hear about the issue with your Stainless Steel Gold pump. It sounds like you may be using an acidic-based soap, perhaps containing ingredients like lemon. Unfortunately, acidic soaps can naturally react with stainless steel over time, which could explain the result you're experiencing.
