“Mine is a 4.5 stars. The poster is not perfect.
1) I would have liked it a bit thicker
2) I would have liked all the branches to have a name and a short "reason" for the branching. For instance: Sarcopterygii correctly branch in Latimeridae and something else that then becomes Dipnoi and Tetrapoda. That something else, as much as I understand, is made up of the "Rhipidistia" or "Dipnotetrapodomorpha". Why has this been skipped?
Apart from that, the poster is gorgeous, it's awe-inspiring and should be hung on a wall in every house. I find it truly moving to be able to follow at a glance our evolution. Believe me, I would buy a poster 10 times its size with even more details (for instance, instead of Hominoidea, I'd like to see Chimps, Gorillas, Orangutans, Gibbons and so on). I'd like to have different, more detailed posters with just sections of this.
I totally recommend buying this.
I have it behind me, in my little little studio where I spent hours and hours working. From time to time I turn my back to the screen and look at the poster, sigh a bit, and tell myself that, despite all the horrible things going on, the world is wonderful and it is wonderful that we managed to figure out our place in it.
Buy it and talk about it with your kids.”
