“I got this lovely set of pins for my 9-year-old daughter, who gave one half to her best friend as a farewell present when that friend moved away. The result is that one half of the set is now in Finland and the other half in Australia. My girl was heartbroken over the move, but finding these pins offered some consolation: they'd be still connected despite being far apart. As a bonus, when somebody asks what she has pinned to her hat, my girl enjoys explaining that it's a wormhole.
