It has taken us more than 5 years to create Johan Bülow’s variation of American liquorice. Red liquorice – soft and chewy with natural fruit and juice. An exquisite taste of blackcurrant, cranberry, lemon and strawberry, balanced with liquorice.

“It’s many, many years since I was so disappointed with a food treat: I can’t actually recall a parallel taste experience, with such a huge gap between expectation and actuality. I, an invariably gentle-natured, upbeat, positive person, felt a kind of raw anger at what I had tasted and felt I had wasted, not £1 on an impulse-bought choccie bar you can take a regretted bite of and then pop in the bin, but £22 that I could have spent on Valrhona or Godiva. I ate 4 of the Original before I gave up; just one of the Red (which I found bitter in taste, rubbery in texture). I’m really sorry I’ve had to write these words - you seem like a conscientious, well-intentioned business. Here’s a fantasy scenario: You send me my £22 back, I buy £22 of Godiva / Valrhona; I spend an evening in heaven. Anyway, in the real world I can go off now and grind some beans and make myself a nice cup of Colombian Huila coffee as a consolation.”

“Delicious tub of treats. This flavour is simply fantastic. It has a gorgeous fruity flavour and the liquorice itself is firm but not tough, like some other brands. It's the best liquorice I have tasted for a very long time, I cannot fault it...and I'll definitely be trying & buying this and more in the future.”
