“I ordered 5 of these General Electric LED DD butterfly bulbs as replacement for 28W fluorescent bulbs that started to die in my flat recently. Retrofitting was as easy as replacing the starter (fuse like cylinder) in the ceiling lamp luminaire with provided starter and then removing old CFL bulb and inserting new LED one. When buying I was worried that those LED bulbs will not work with my setup of quite old Magnetic Low Loss Ballast from Helvar (L18 TL2) and compatible starters (Sylvania FS-14 and Everyday FS22) but everything worked as a charm. The 835 bulbs gives Standard White bright light (3500 Kelvins) - perfect for kitchen, large bathroom or hall. For very small bathroom I should probably buy Very Warm White (827 version with 2700 Kelvins) that would make it more cosy though.”

“Very easy to fit in your existing 2D installation: just change the starter for the one supplied and plug in the lamp. Very good value compared with older versions and now it's the same form factor as the original cfl's. Good range of colour options.”
