The Gunpowder Plot Immersive Experience Reviews

“Had a great time, staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We decided to arrive early and have lunch before the experience started. The food was great and served promptly, allowing us time to enjoy that and drink without feeling rushed for time. Experience started on time, we had some concerns re the VR parts of the experience escepically as wearing glasses but the headsets were easy to get on and off and adjust to fit. The actors were fantastic, got everyone involved and ensured a good time was had by all. We're looking forward to booking our next experience.”

“The experience was good, but there were a few things that stopped it from being perfect. In two different sections my headset didn't work correctly. The very first room I had a box in my vision stating that I wasn't wearing it correctly, even though I felt I was. I waved my hand in the air as indicated by the team, but no one came to my aid. This spoilt the first VR scene for me. In another section, the band across the top of my head was not attached. I didn't want to remove the headset as I would miss part of the experience, so I again waved my hand again as indicated. Again, no one came. I had to physically hold the headset to my head as it kept falling due to the band issue and with the headset on, I wasn't sure how to fix the problem. This ruined the experience for me, which was a great shame because I really enjoyed the actors and the theming. But not having anyone come to my aid when I asked in two different locations in the way the team had informed us to request help, made me feel uneasy and potentially unsafe in there, as it made me think if something bigger were to happen I would also be ignored. This then put myself on edge for the rest of the performance and tarnished my enjoyment of the experience.”
