“It’s OK… the acting is good and so is the first VR - then it seems to go a bit downhill and is slower and less intense - I didn’t like being told to come 30mins early only to be sat to spend money in the bar and there is no need for an interval - that seemed to only purpose more spending at the bar - it was good but expensive - not great.”
“Overall it was a great experience. My husband and teenage sons thought it was amazing. Unsure before we started what was expected, but the actors very quickly made you feel comfortable and encouraged you to take part. The actors were brilliant and really brought to life the characters and how life was at the time. Hiding in the priest holes really brought home how frightening life could be at the time. I had a few problems with my VR headsets and did miss a little of some of the VR stories. The staff did quickly resolved the problems. That didn’t impact too much on my enjoyment of it. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone it really does make you think about the story that we are all so familiar with. There were free lockers to leave your belongings in and a bar selling food and drinks. The toffee apple cocktail was delicious.”
“Excellent! Immersive, atmospheric and educational! You are really taken back to the Jacobean era and dropped into the plot becoming part of the conspiracy. Management, staff and actors also can’t do enough to ensure you enjoy the experience! Will go again!”
