The Gunpowder Plot Immersive Experience Reviews

“It was fun, but the headset did not work for concluding section of the experience for two of my party. They raised their hands but the staff in the room did nothing. This was reported to a another member of the staff when we went to collect our coats, who said they would let a manager know but, they did not bother coming back over to us. We did wait. Shame really.”

“Having done War of the Worlds, this was not nearly as good. Too much standing around without anything happening. The VR with the swing and the boat was very good but I did not rate the rest particularly high.”

“It is unfortunate that i need to write this. During the interval, two female bar staff downstairs (one with blonde/blue dye in her hair and the other a tall angry short-haired girl) completely ruined the experience for us. We had pre-bought two cocktail vouchers (£10 each) with our tickets for the interval drinks, and were expecting a choice of drink at that price. Before speaking to us, we were immediately handed a disgusting drink of orange juice and Prosecco and they called it a fuse cocktail and told us this was the only cocktail available. Tried to explain to the bar staff this was not what we had paid for as it didn't say this on the cocktail voucher. Both bar girls seemed offended and angry when we asked for another drink instead. They said with the value of your ticket you can have half a pint of beer each instead. We then had to complain that we had paid £20 for two cocktail and the best they can offer as an alternative is two half pints. After openly arguing with us (with these bar girls being extremely rude in their behaviour towards us in front of the other customers), they finally agreed to give us a pint of beer each (at the cost of the £20 voucher). By the time we got our drinks it was the end of the interval and we had to leave behind most of our drink to continue with the tour/show. I normally don't bother to write reviews if I've had a small bad experience, but this all happened in front of other people (from our group) and it was just embarrassing and made the rest of the experience uncomfortable for us and for them. Everyone saw what happened and our group was talking about how bad the bar service was afterwards. The level of rudeness from these two staff member's was inexcusable. I'm writing so that someone from the management of the Gunpowder Plot Experience will do something to prevent this behaviour from their staff happening again as it completely ruins the experience for your customers who have paid a lot of money, as well as the efforts of the actors/actresses who do so much to make it a great experience. The actors and actresses were so great and I would like to give this more stars on their behalf, but as I said the experience was completely ruined by the selfish and poor behaviour of two bar girls. Essentially as a customer, I left feeling like I did not have a good night at The Gunpowder Plot Experience.”
