“When I bout this, I was debating between the Pamplemousse cleanser or this one. I had a sample of the Pamplemousse and really liked it, but I like the description of this, so I decided to try it instead. I read several reviews before deciding to buy this. I had read that it didn't foam up so I was expecting that, and that is fine. I expected it to smell a bit more like coconut, but it is more like an earthy/sweet smell. It doesn't smell bad, just very different from what I thought. It has an initial sweet smell, but then an earthy/dirt smell. After you put a few drops of water on the powder it does develop into a type of paste. It is almost like the consistency of a coffee ground exfoliant. I think I would give this 5 stars if it were advertised as an exfoliant, but it just doesn't work for me as a cleanser. I don't wear a lot of makeup. Most days it is just tinted moisturizer/foundation, bronzer, blush, highlighter, and mascara. This doesn't take any of it off. After cleaning with this, it only takes off what water by itself would. When I use a toner or micellar water after I have cleansed with this, everything is still on the cotton pad as if I didn't clean first other than rinsing my face. It also does almost feel like there is some type of residue left on my face after I wash with this. I did give 3 stars for healthy ingredients, smell, and exfoliating effect.”
