“Great torch - battery runs out because it auto adjusts to max light setting. I am using it for running. Both rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries only last 1.5-2h which is rubbish. And when they run out the torch typically switches off. So I set the torch to the dimmest setting (seem to be 3 white light levels for me, not 2 as in the instructions), and it auto adjusts back to the brightest setting most of the time - once it remained on the dim setting which was great as then the battery lasted longer. Maybe I have a faulty torch (bought around March 2018) or maybe I am missing something from the instructions - I don't think they mention battery running out.”

“A nifty piece of equipment let down by an extremely inadequate instruction sheet. A relatively complex device like this needs more than a series of cartoons for the new user to familiarise himself with it. After all, warranty, safety and disposal instructions were included in multiple languages in addition to a full colour mini-catalogue. Senseless or what? So it was a case of trial and error (mostly error) until 3rd party help was found on line.”

“A decent little unit let down by an APPALLING set of user instructions. The cartoon approach hardly helps users get the best out of the torch since they have to rely on trial and error - mainly error, to make sense of its operation. Warranty is provided in multiple languages and they even manage to include publicity in English in the form of a coloured glossy insert. I would have expected better, after all the torch is not exactly cheap. Competitors (mentioning no names) manage to provide basic instructions in English (and other languages) for their torches, so I don’t see why LEDLENSER can’t do the same. Operationally, does the job well. The battery, once charged fully, provides surprisingly long operation. Charge process is long though. Comfortable to wear. Suggest that as well as improving instructions, means of safe keeping while not in use could be considered as the packaging is useless.”

“This is an excellent head torch, badly let down by a tiny, non-standard rechargeable battery, the lack of information and/or instructions and the most awful, impractical and annoying packaging I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. With proper user information and instructions and sensible packaging this would be worth 5 stars.”
