“Pretty easy to add and remove from the veritas block plane. I like the adjustable chamfer width option, although it would be better if it was adjustable with the guide attached to the plane. As it is, you have to remove the guide from the plane and then adjust it with 2 screws using a screwdriver, which isn't ideal. Also, I added the LV ptfe tape to the guide for more friction free use, and it also makes the guide less likely to damage soft woods. For the price, i don't think its too much to ask for a couple of bits of tape to be provided with it.”

Thank you for the feedback. Waxing the sole and the chamfer guide would be our suggestion. By adding the PTFE tape this would affect the chamfer setting as it does have thickness to it. This would not be an issue with the wax.
