“I am using filtered water from an outdoor irrigation pond. It hasn't been tested recently but I suspect is very highly mineralized. I have had some of these timers for years, occasionally they misfunction, that is, they don't turn off. I have resisted efforts by friends to buy cheaper versions at Walmart (which I boycott).”

“Most of the ones I've had do not last much longer than 2 seasons' worth (leaking or just simply stops working). A season for me is 4 months of use, once every 4 days. Then they are removed and stored in the garage, so they are not exposed to UV or other conditions year round. Nothing is made to last a reasonable length of time, especially from some countries, so this is what we can expect. The GOOD thing is that it's easy to set the time.”
