I really like it for watering the grass. I like the fast spray and it’s easy to adjust. My only slight complaint is its light and with the oscillating it seems to move and doesn’t always stay in place. I try to secure it up against the cement sidewalk or curb.

I'm rating the quality as "Very Good", because everything we have purchased at Lee Valley has been of good quality. However, there was not an instruction sheet in the box, informing how to adjust the sprinkler's spray pattern. I adjusted a few times, moving the head in different increments. However, spray pattern wasn't ideal. This was by guesswork. Due to recent issues of everyday life, I haven't been back to the store. I think that someone there would likely be able to assist - service is always very good.

Thank you for your review and your kind words about Lee Valley. We confirmed that to maintain the spray distance, the red disc should remain flat. To decrease the distance, lift the red disc by pushing up on the tabs underneath. We'll also be emailing you some pictures to help illustrate the adjustment. We hope this helps you get the spray pattern you're looking for!

While I love this style of sprinkler this model feels very light duty. I have one that was a miracle gro product that also sprayed liquid fertilizer from a canister that the sprinkler screws onto. It's 15 or 20 years old and still works. The spray adjustment ring has broken but as long as the sprinkler goes in one direction break does not affect its function. Hopefully this one while last??

I cannot rate this at the moment because I am waiting for my tech teacher son-in-law to come from Vancouver to figure out how to work this sprinkler! In theory, it's a great idea but the so-called instructions are sadly lacking. Quite hopeless, in fact. I thought I had got it right, but the reverse of what I wanted, happened - the road and passers-by were completely soaked with a good strong jet of water. I think I need a contour graph to be created first. Normally I am a big fan of Lee Valley products!

Thanks for sharing this experience, Gillian. We understand the frustration of watering the road instead of the garden. The Contour Sprinkler does take a bit of initial setup, and it sounds like the instructions did not provide the clarity you were looking for. Our customer service team will reach out to help and make sure the sprinkler is configured the way you intended.

Pulse sprinklers are all ways a problem watering your garden or lawn. There are areas that get missed unless you keep moving the sprinkler then some areas get more than others. With contour sprinkler this problem is vertually eliminated. It is easy to adjust. It is a great improvment to sprinklers. I am very happy with mine.

We have some irregularly shaped flower beds and the contour sprinkler worked very well in covering the beds. It was easy to set up. I only wish the base would have been heavier. The base does extend out which helps but on certain smoother surfaces like gravel or concrete, it wants to move around.

I was a little surprised that the sprinkler was made totally of plastic. The plastic ring that is used to retard the distance of spray, I can see that breaking very easily. I also found that when you have an area set on the sprinkler to retard the spray, the sprinkler actually gets stuck in that one posistion because the sprinkler tail just doesn't seem to be able to get over the hump. I'll play around with it a bit more.

Thanks for sharing your early experience with the sprinkler. It’s helpful to hear how it’s performing in real use. The spray adjustment should move smoothly as the sprinkler cycles. If you continue to experience issues, even after continued adjustments, please reach out to our Customer Service team so we can troubleshoot further.

Powerful and effective water dispersal. Covers a large and irregular area to great effect. I was a little skeptical at first, but after the first use I was “hooked”.
