This is the kind of product many of us were waiting for. If, like me, you have accidentally crushed an aluminum downspout extender while blundering about your flower beds -- those rudbeckia mask everything! -- then (once you have straightened it) buy this extender, slip it in to the downstream end (all right, RAM it in, now that the extender has been distorted), and voilà! It can support your weight should you lapse again, and prevent another crushing disappointment while ensuring easy flow.

Does exactly what it's meant to do. Taking a star off because it's a very tight fit and caused some damage to my downspouts trying to fit them in.

They work very well.. At first, I didn't think that it would fit, then I spread the opening a bit and squeezed the Armour insert. Once it was started, I tapped it in the rest of the way with a rubber mallet. Now, it's secure and doing its job.

It didn't work out. They didn't fit. Would have been great if they fit.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We're glad you liked the idea, but wish they had been the right fit for you. Downspout Armor is designed specifically for standard 2" × 3" downspout extensions, while some homes use larger sizes. Our Customer Service team will be reaching out to follow up with you.

Exactly as described and so far seems to be working well. We’ll see how it does when there are leaves in the spout. Hoping it won’t cause clogs.

A little tricky to get started in the end of the drain pipe, but feels solid once in there. Doesn’t solve the problem of deer stepping on the downspout upstream from the armour but at least keeps the exit open.

Simple, affordable solution to a common problem with aluminum downspouts: it is almost impossible not to accidentally stomp on or run a lawnmower or wheelbarrow wheel over them when doing yardwork and maintenance around the house, and the soft metal instantly gets crushed flat, constricting outflow. These are easy to install and work great at making sure your downspouts function properly in a downpour.
