I use it for watering planter bed--the plastic means the filled can is lighter. Balance when full of water is impeccable, and the rose sprays gently--beautiful! I only wish there were a peg to hold the rose when I'm not using it.

I bought this to be watering herbs and new growth. When I start and stop watering, there is a bunch of water coming out at once (definitely not great for herbs, new growths). In between, it's like a fine rain which is what I expected. I think the design flaw is to have plastic can with the metal rose at the end. The metal and the plastic don't seem to be sealed at all so there could be gaps that can be possibly be happening where they meet. They were good to ship another rose piece, but it was just the same issue. My advice, just get the whole metal can, not the plastic one. There was none available when I ordered this one so I regret I didn't wait to get the metal one instead. I do feel that this one is way over priced for plastic + metal rose. Something like $40 would be more reasonable (if it works good and throw a bunch of water at the beginning and the end). I wish I could do a video of it but I'm by myself and it's hard to hold both the can and the phone and I don't have a phone holder.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We're glad the fine spray is what you were looking for once the water is flowing, but understand your concern about the heavier flow when starting and stopping, particularly around seedlings and delicate plants. We appreciate you giving the replacement rose a try as well. We'll be reaching out directly to follow up with you.

The plastic model is adequate and darn near as attractive as the metal model. The thing I like best is the flooding nozzel which softens the flow from a full can and does not overwhelm delicate plants.

I bought on the basis of the “Haws” name and its reputation. I have had a plastic Haws wateriing can for over 10 years. With exposure to the sun and outdoor elements my old watering can’s plastic was breaking down and it began to leak - hence my need to buy a new one. I feel the company has cut corners in making this current product. Selling now at a higher price: It comes With two attachments in a mesh sac rather than engineering the holders the older can had near the spout to conveniently hold these attachments. I’d prefer to have the attachments on the can where I can quickly get to them (than in some useless bag residing in the garage somewhere). And the new higher price isn’t worth the extra expenditure for the quality of the product you get.

My second Haws. As good as the first! Although I miss the little knob to store the rightangled spout.
