“Havingw had type 1 diabetes for almost 35 years, I have used all manner of products to avoid or correct a low blood sugar. This is especially important when about to drive or operate machinery. Lift have made an excellent product here. It’s a really fast glucose shot if strenuous or potentially dangerous activities are planned. The lemon and lime is one of two flavours and is my favoured one of the two. So many fast glucose products are unpalatable which can make giving them to someone who’s hypoglycaemic quite problematic. Low blood sugar can make some people really argumentative and resistant to those trying to help them offering sweet drinks etc. because Lift actually tastes nice this issue is much less likely. I was a firefighter for 28 years (diagnosed in service after 4 years) and it was important to have fast glucose to hand in case of low blood sugars whilst on call. Having a strong plastic bottle means that the Lift doesn’t get destroyed if dropped or trodden on. It wasn’t invented in my fire service time but would have been the product of choice had is been available whilst still serving. I have regularly introduced my diabetic peers to Lift and in the main it has been a well received recommendation for all the above reasons.”
