“The Next Level Racing Wheel Stand DD is a solidly built product and out of the wide selection of wheel stands out there it is surely one of if not the most robust. However, the wheel stand DD is foldable and I had wrongly assumed the wheel stand DD was sturdier and foldable too but sadly it is not. Considering I am buying a wheel stand rather than a cockpit due to space issues, not being foldable is a real pain. Not only that but the pedal base does not fit properly between the uprights, being too short and hence reliant on the strength of the bolts alone to maintain rigidity. The mount for the wheelbase can be height adjusted but it is nigh on impossible to do so when a DD wheelbase it attached due to using bolts with an allen key and the sheer weight you have to hold whilst trying to screw the bolts in place. I am looking to replace the bolts with some winged bolts that would allow me to twist in with one hand whilst supporting the wheelbase with the other. The other annoying part is that they provide an extra set of long bolts to strengthen the pedal plate, but you can only use them if the pedal plate is in the furthest back position which due to a longer steering wheel column is not possible on my setup. Overall a solid product but not fully thought through.”
