Lo-Dough is actually designed to be neutral in flavour and act as a carrier for all the delicious toppings or fillings you require whilst still reducing the calories and carbs or your favorite meals. “I am really unimpressed with their products. I jumped at the thought of having to have pizzas again (both my hubby and I have diabetes). We also decided to treat ourselves to some brownies. When we received them, well the low dough was so thin I am not suprised the carbs were so low, there wasn't enough of it to make it have anymore carbs! The cookie mix, well, that too was a problem. It was ordered from the basket page, just tick if you want cookies, their was no nutritional advise here. We thought as the others were so low that these would be too. Oh no, they are about 15 carbs a brownie, my present recipe was 1-2 carbs per brownie!!! I phoned them up to complain, and was told I could return them, the customer service rep was abrupt to the point of rudness and I wasn't offered to refund me the return p+p. I pointed this out to them several times and each time the topic of conversation was changed. Needless to say O would not be buying them again!”

Hi Stephie, Thanks for your feedback regarding our range of products and the service you received. Lo-Dough is an extremely versatile product and many of our customers enjoy the flexibility it brings to their diet. We really want to keep it this way and we've found the current shape and thickness allows for Lo-Dough to be used and enjoyed as pizzas, quiches, wraps and more. All our products are designed to be both low calorie and low carb. When it comes something sweet like our Brownie Mix we use the polyol, Erythritol, to provide the sweetness. This contributes around 0.24 calories per gram (sugar is 4kcal per gram) and barely effects blood sugar. Due to labelling regulations, this must be labelled and included in total carbohydrates. However, even though they are carbs, they do not significantly raise blood sugar and so are sub-labelled 'of which polyols' and they can be deducted from total carbohydrate. We advise that each portion of our brownies contains 4.1g of impact carbs, this means only 4.1g of the carbs will impact blood sugar. This makes our brownie mix suitable for both diabetics and those on low carb diets, albeit with some moderation (don't eat them all in one go!)
