Although it looked very flat when I took it out of the oven it cut well and tasted great. I kept some in the fridge as suggested and froze the rest, taking them out and warming them as needed. Served with a home made frozen banana ice cream for a delicious desert

I followed the directions on the package as written. I found the batter to be very thick (as the package said it would be), and I spread it into an 8" glass baking dish (the same one I'd use for "real" brownies) lined with parchment paper. I noticed that the uncooked batter did not taste very sweet at all-almost bitter. I cooked them for the recommended amount of time, but when they came out I noticed they had not risen at all, and were very thin and dense. Not a "cakey" or chewy brownie at all. While they were on the cooling rack, I was anxious to taste them, so I cut a small piece out of the corner, and they tasted pretty good while they were warm. After they'd cooled, I put them in the refrigerator as directed. However, the following day when I went to have one, they seemed like they'd lost all their sweetness and flavor being in the refrigerator. They literally were tasteless. So, perhaps this experience was due to the difference in water from UK to US? Altitude? (I live in Florida) I actually purchased 2 packages so I may try something different with the second package to see if I get a better result.
