Thank you for your great review Daniel! All of our soaps are made using 100% coconut oil and are as natural as can be, using our Extra Virgin Fair Trade Organic Raw Coconut Oil. The range is FREE FROM: palm oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), artificial fragrances, preservatives and petroleum! These have bad effects on our health and the environment, so we worked hard to make sure our Soaps were free from all these ingredients. Jess :)

“A bit pricey but organic, environmental friendly and not tested on animals. Hope they will find an alternative to the plastic packaging as I know they are looking for it. Moisturising, also lathers quite well, although that was the last of my priorities as I have been using natural soap/shampoo bars for a time and I know that they do not have to produce lather in order to do their job. As well as another reviewer, unfortunately the soap bar irritates some part of my skins when showering, even though I am using the fragrance free one. Good first attempt, looking forward to seeing some improvements.”

HI Manuela, Thanks for this. As you've mentioned, we are looking for a biodegradable alternative to wrap the soap bars, and this is currently being tested - we eagerly await the results. For anyone not aware, to protect the unique formulation of our soaps and to prolong the scent of the essential oils (where applicable), these need to be wrapped in a plastic sachet, which we then pack in an FSC recyclable card carton. Soaps are normally made from palm oil and a soap made wholly from coconut oil, as ours is, is uncommon. With its better foaming and lathering qualities than soaps made with palm oil, this unique formula means the soap can sweat, which presents something of a challenge to us in storing it, hence the use of flow wrap. We realise that this is not ideal and assure you that the packaging weight is minimised, and the material is recyclable. The FSC card carton is recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. Our Fragrance Free Soap is suitable for sensitive skin though because we are all different, we do recommend doing a skin patch test before using any of our soaps and skincare range. Petrina

“First purchase from Lucy Bee and I am not disappointed Packaging first class -and I’ve read all about the plastic feedback and look forward to future re-packaging The actual soap is a delight to use I have fully embraced going back to soap and now never buy plastic packaged shower gel products I shall definately be re-ordering when the time arrives and I really look forward to the launch of the skincare products Very speedy delivery too”

“I LOVE the fact these soaps are all natural and vegan and organic etc. quite pricey but worth it to know there's no animal testing or nasties. I've got a bar in my kitchen, one in downstairs loo and another in bathroom and then one in the shower. Love them for washingy hands but do find the essential oils are irritating on my skin in some areas when use in the shower. Even the frangrance free one...despite this I will continue to use as I haven't found anything else that ticks so many boxes.”

We use the highest quality organic essential oils so we are sorry to hear that they irritated your skin but everyones skin is different. “I am in love with these soaps the main reason being they contain no palm oil which is very important to me . I am on my first soap which is the exfoliating spearmint and my skin feels so fresh and clean you would not believe it was a natural bar . . Well done Lucy Bee I am now converted”
