HI, We're really sorry that you feel this way. Our Coconut Shell Soap Dish is just that, a coconut shell to hold our soap bars. On the product page of our website we have an image similar to yours, showing how to assemble the pieces....the small cup sits first (to catch any drips), the piece with two large sections cut out sits over the small cup and holds the large cup with should be inverted to allow the soap bar to be put into it. Because actual coconut shells are used , no two dishes are the same, which adds to their unique charm, and we're sorry that it's not to your liking. Take care, Petrina
