Thank you for taking the time to review this Eleanor and we're happy to know that you use this for seasoning. This has coarse granules which need to be crushed in a grinder to add to foods. Our Himalayan Salt comes from the Punjab region at the Khewra Salt Mine which is the second largest salt mine in the world. Petrina
