“I would give 5 stars - but there is a smell I saw a few others have mentioned. I didn't notice it until the next day. It is indeed strange and not what I would expect from an all natural product. I am however thrilled at how much it improved my sleep experience. I have a latex mattress, which was too hard, so I purchased a soft 3" talalay latex topper - which made it too soft, so I woke with lower back pain every day. NOT ANYMORE! Luma exchanged it for a wool topper. I can actually sleep more than 6 hours without waking up with an achy back. I am now in heaven.”

“I bought this to put on top of a memory foam mattress. Previously when sleeping on a memory foam topper, I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling like I had an electric blanket under me with the heat turned up. The heat retention was very bad. I bought this because I thought that the natural wool might be more breathable and help the heat retention of my memory foam topper. It did. It feels like a high quality product, and I didn't have any problems, but it's not very thick for a topper, isn't going to provide very much relief for a hard mattress, so this product is alittle expensive for what it does for me...which is give my mattress a softer, more luxurious feel. I probably could have found something less expensive to do that. My memory foam mattress is from Bed In a Box and features 1.5" of "CoolMax" memory foam, so it isn't some cheap product I got at a discount store.”

“It works, but it's not a perfect solution to an over heating foam bed. I'd say it's about 80% percent effective for myself. But I'm an extreme warm sleeper that I hope will change when I'm though menopause. This should work really well for moderately warm sleeper.”

“Amazing so far. The wool really does well to keep you cool in the summer and its quite comfy. Not sure about the warmth level for winter yet but I'm guessing it will be just as amazing. Also I have not washed it yet but it seems to be very well made. Definitely pleased with my purchase.”

“Bought this wool mattress topper in last ditch desperate attempt to cope with the heat accumulating in my expensive memory foam mattress. This wool topper worked! Plus, it is highly luxurious bedding by itself. Extremely well made and designed of high quality materials. The textured design is very comfortable and sleep inducing. One caveat: the wool topper does decrease the memory foam effect of my body sinking into the mattress, but I gladly lose that in return for not waking up in the middle of every night drenched in sweat. My next mattress will not be memory foam, but I plan to buy one of these ultra-luxurious wool mattress toppers for all future beds.”

“I needed a soft but supportive layer for my too soft latex mattress. This mattress topper is just what I needed! As far as the commenter claiming there is a chemical smell, this is simply NOT true. I am extremely chemical sensitive, and the topper just smells like sheep. That's it. I used to take my dog for herding lessons. I know what sheep smell like. It is a pleasing organic smell, but it is not too strong at all.”
