“Let me first start by saying I am very disappointed in the longevity of the factory original watch band . For the limited use the watch received I would have expected the band to have lasted longer and not just ripped thru where the buckle attaches to the band.
Now for the replacement. Simply terrible! It is nothing like the factory original. The replacement is stiffer, does not conform to your wrist as easily and produces rub marks on the skin. It is NOT comfortable to wear.
Additionally it did not fit the opening on the watch, and needed modification. The original was of a straight design where it attaches, this replacement has little tabs. The tabs interfered with the ability to get the band in to seat correctly.
Yes I had the correct width! This replacement was not of the same design as the original.
For the cost of this band I would have expected much better. Sending it back is problematic.... can’t wear the watch without a band. Maybe I would have been better off just going to one of the big box department stores and buying a replacement band there.”
Hi Douglad,
Thank you for providing feedback on your 21mm replacement band. We are very sorry for your disappointment. Can you please advise as to what series watch you have as there may be a better suited 21mm band for your specific watch if we can have more information.
Luminox Customer Service
“I ordered a new band for my Navy Dive Watch. Previously I would send it to service for replacement. Doing it myself was so much faster and very easy. I wish I had known about this previously. I also ordered the tool to remove the old and install the new strap.”
“I wish the rubber strap loops are made sturdier and was available to purchase. Please make more rubber replacement bands in other colors (fluorescent yellow, blue, orange or green) available for smaller luminous watches.”
“Long time user of Luminox watches, which I obviously like. Wish they still made an alarm clock. Have had a number of bands break, which surprises me. Wish they shipped new pins with the straps. Straps are moderately expensive.”
