This is my second Luminox watch. My first was a total blackout which I gave to my son and I purchased the Bear grllys survival 42 mm. What I love about this watch is it is so lightweight. I have a small 6 1/2 inch wrist and the 42 mm fits perfect. I also live in Tennessee so the orange band goes perfect for the University of Tennessee volunteers. Also on the front and back of the watch you have the logo “Never Give Up” This is a great every day watch for work play or whatever. I also purchased a black spare band if I feel like changing it up. Thanks Luminox for a great timepiece.

I do like the watch, BUT the rubber strap really seems & feels CHEAP and the bezel, especially the orange 12-20 area Looks Really Cheap...The photo makes it look better than it appears in person.

I have been a fan of Bear Grylls for some time and I was tickled pink when I got this watch as a gift! That being said I would not let that influence me when providing my opinion on this watch. There is one warning I would like to share before I go on with my review. Do NOT judge this watch by its weight or the lack thereof. I have a few other watches that I love and both have stainless steel cases. As someone over 55, I can say that I have had heavy watches most of my life. Once on your wrist, this watch will shock you as it is, by comparison, almost weightless. I am no expert but my experience with this watch has led me to believe that the construction is solid, so as I mentioned don't let the low weight concern you. As a matter of habit, I take my watch off at night before turning it and this was due in part to the weight and bulk of a steel-cased watch and the metal bracelet. This watch stayed on my wrist almost constantly. It’s easy to forget it’s there. Readability - As someone over 55 with less than perfect eyesight I can say I found it is easy to read at any time of the day or night, thanks to the Tritium tubes and printed Arabic's around the face. Wristband - I can say with confidence that the wristband is far more comfortable than almost any metal-linked bracelet or even the mesh bracelets on my other watches, making it the easiest watch to wear that I have owned. To top it all off it has a striking appearance on your wrist, which is sure to be a great conversation starter. Ideology - Lastly, the idea of the watch is inspiring. The never give up logo on the back is a constant reminder, and I like that. A reminder to be positive and never give up may not be a tangible characteristic but given the world, we currently live in I am listing it as one. Sadly I lost mine but I plan to purchase one later this year. I hope my review helps in your buying decision.
