“Beautiful tritium, elegant dial, solid construction, day/date works great, accuracy as expected. Plus, got this on clearance so great price. Overall very happy with purchase.”
“I bought this watch after wanting a Luminox for their LLT, Luminox Lighting Technology for years. When I received it. I was baffled by how horrible it glows. I have over 20+ other watches. And every single one of them that has any lume at all, even without being charged by light, far far surpasses the brightness and illumination of the Luminox. It’s so faint that you can barely tell it’s there at all, let alone attempt to read the time from it. It looks absolutely NOTHING like the image(s) they show of it glowing in darker surroundings like above. The images they show in their marketing images don’t even show a disclaimer like the images are enhanced or fabricated or anything. You can barely make out the faintest of glow in the darkest of conditions, like by going into a pitch black closet with the lights off and closing the doors. I do not know how they have not been sued for false advertising, as their entire claim to fame with their LLT is blatantly false and misleading. I’ll be returning this watch, as I would wear any of my others instead of this one any day. Since there’s nothing special about these watches in my humble opinion, beyond their claims of their tritium LLT lighting. I have no idea how they have stayed in business. There are perhaps dozens of other companies out their that use tritium glass tubes for lighting, but they are actually bright and visible. I don’t understand how Luminox has gotten away with these false and misleading statements and images for so long without being sued or had a government regulators like the FTC crackdown on them. Save your money and buy a quality watch anywhere else. You’ll thank me later.”

“I really wanted to love my watch. I love the looks of the watch, however I didn't know the watch had a mechanical, rather than kinetic, wind which only lasts 36 hours. I have to wind the watch to give it a jump start once in a while. With that being said, the watch has a screw crown that has to be tightened every time you wind it, otherwise you could compromise the water resistance of the watch. Once I forgot to tighten the crown and humidity came in (morning shower). After owning the watch for 5 months, I sent the watch in for repair. The repair took a little over 9 weeks. When they sent the watch back, the watch wasn't repaired, just cleaned from the humidity. When spending $1300 for a watch, its hard to have it in repair for half the time you've had it. I'm not sure if I will live with the flaws or send it back in. The day/date hangs and gets caught, so it displays the day crooked or hangs between English and Spanish, which is quite frustrating especially when people ask to see my watch.”

“Having an issue with my watch not keeping the time set. Have called customer service twice & left messages w/ no call back. Let me guess…short staffed because of Covid. Great feeling to spend $1,000 & zero customer support!!”
Hi Kevin,
We are sorry to hear of your disappointment in your new watch. Our phone lines can get extremely busy so we apologize that we missed you. It is always best to send us an email to info@lumondi.com for the quickest response.
The 1907 Atacama series is an automatic movement. It is not battery operated. Upon receiving the watch it needs to be wound about 30-40 times every night or kept on a watch winder when not being worn to get the watch to keep its accuracy. Are you familiar with automatic watches?

“This is a great watch. It looks awesome and the radioactive gas tubes make it super easy to read in the dark or even dusk times. It works way better than the glow-in-the-dark paint that is on other watches.
I love that it is a mechanical watch that should survive an EMP and hope that I can easily get it serviced by Luminox every few years. It runs about 10 seconds fast per day, which seems to be in spec, but it would be nice to have an upgrade option for a more accurate movement.
As others have noted, it is a big watch, but I have a relatively small wrist (just under 7") and it isn't too big for me. It is a little thick and it would be nice if they could make it a little thinner, but not a major complaint.
As I understand it, Luminox is an American company, but the face says "Swiss Made". I'd like to see "Made in the USA", but then they would have to lower the price. Crazy. How come there aren't any American mechanical movement manufacturers? The price is a bit high, but it seems you can say that about any mechanical watch these days. Overall a good value.”
