“I have been a Luminox owner since the company started practically. I still have my original metal cased F117 Stealth though the tubes are dead it still runs well. USN SEAL DIver watches in several forms have been reliable but I've noticed the tubes burned out rapidly and the mechanism was lousy on one so I may have gotten a counterfeit. This time around I took advantage of the Black Friday sale and picked up the Leatherback directly from Luminox on sale for $375. I did not look closer at the light tubes description so was surprised that THE MOST IMPORTANT LIGHT ON THE WATCH (THE BEZEL) WAS NOT A TRITIUM TUBE but something you had to "charge" with another light source??? OK my bad buty The bezel itself spins like a prize wheel so even a minor bump will shift it and cause you to mess up your timed event. WTH? If these were seconds or defects on sale than Luminox should have given the consumer the right to choose between a solid watch and defective piece of carbonix with lame lights... I immediately wrote back to customer service within minutes of opening box and its taken several weeks to get as far as a return slip. I've tried reaching someone on phone to no avail. I've had better sales interactions for a pair of socks, Luminox, you have truly fallen far, no direct interaction, emails over several weeks from "Mary" in who knows what part of the world just to get a simple return slip....and your QC/QA is slipping horribly. For a simple quartz watch that shows the date, I expected ALOT more qaulity for almost 400$. I'll definitely be moving on to another brand after this experience albeit disappointed because I've been a Luminox owner for many years (I just havent bought a new one in the last 10 so didnt know your products were slipping).
Hopefully this informs people to look closely and compare these watches against other brands in more depth, I thought I was buying a legend and instead I ended up with an imposter...”
