“My late 2011 MacBook Pro officially only takes 8GB of RAM so I was slightly worried that I was wasting a slot by ordering two 8GB SO-DIMMS.
But everything I looked at through Google reassured me I could do it. This wasn't the cheapest RAM I could find; there was some cheaper stuff on eBay BUT it required that I pay for shipping. However, this was cheaper than anything else when postage was taken into account.
It also arrived at my place just the day after I ordered it. :D”
