“I bought this 16gb upgrade to help with slow photo editing I was having on my 2011 iMac. “I recently purchased online from Macfixit Australia 4 x 4GB OWC PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz 204 pin RAM SODIMMs to expand the RAM in my Mid 2011 iMac. The RAM arrived two days after I placed the order. As this iMac model gives easy access to the RAM slots and there are videos on Youtube showing how to do an installation, I was able to easily remove the two existing 2GB chips and install the four new 4GB chips. Then added the two 2GB chips to my wife's iMac doubling its RAM. Overall - very happy I went this way and took the risk as the performance improvement has been significant. Macfixit made it easy and quick and I am happy to recommend their services.”
