“I inherited a 2008 iMac, still in original condition and with Snow Leopard installed. I brought the operating system up as far as it would go (El Capitan) but 2Gb RAM wasn't going to cut it. I bought a 6Gb kit from Macfixit, which banished the beachball and has the old machine running well, even with original hard disk. I've used OWC branded RAM and SSDs before, and know that they're reliable and good quality, so had no hesitation in buying from Macfixit again.”
