“My old MacBook was struggling. Although it had a memory upgrade to 2GB when I bought it in December 2008, it could barely cope with today's multi-tab browsing and running multiple apps. Spinning wheels of death, forced quit of apps and reboots were common. With this upgrade, those problems were instantly fixed. Initial boot times are still longer than the current generation or machines, but quicker than they were. But once up and running, it is stable and able to cope with multitasking and running 10 tabs open in Safari. It has certainly saved me from buying a new Mac for a while and allowed me to hold out for the next generation MacBook Pro.”
