Not a criticism of this product but just be very careful when removing the piece in your macbook with the airport antennas on it - those screws are notoriously tight and I stripped the screw.
I managed to get it off by jamming a rubber band into the hole then used the screwdriver to turn it out.”

“This simple little device was pretty easy to install (you need to be delicate with some steps) but the instructions are thorough and with pictures for every Mac compatible.
What is allows you to do by removing the super drive in my case was to set the slave drive to a SSD and use the original HDD as a secondary for time machine or if you wanted you could use it for storage or scratch disk etc.
Amazing upgrade by the time you've done gone to a startup disk as SSD you get immediate results that will blow you away!”
“I was going to buy the "other" Drive Support for my MBP and a friend said to get a Data Doubler.
I haven't looked back. This thing is easy to install, and the SSD is even easier to install. Once you have this in your Mac, your read and write speeds won't be compromised and you won't look back. I haven't and now that i have a SSD as my Startup Disk, i look at 8 seconds and then PS CS6, Pixlemator, Aperture, Adobe Illustrator and After Affects are fighting to be the first to open . . .
Don't waste your money on anything other than a OWC Data Doubler and SSD because you will be saying to yourself, like you did when you moved to Mac OS X, "Why didn't i do this earlier" :)”
