“It's a bit nerve wracking pulling apart your main workhorse computer. The OWC instructional videos do a really good job of walking you through the process of pulling apart and reassembling your iMac and having it all work again. I combined this with the SSD kit to fill up the spare SATA port. I was easily able to upgrade my standard 1TB HDD to a 4TB SSHD. No overheating or fan issues so the cable has worked a treat.
I would consider myself a skilled repairer. This item is probably not for those new to computer repair. Watch the videos a couple of times first.”
