These drives are easily installed by your friendly Mac Techs and data transferred from your old machine. You probably don't want to be doing this yourself as the data transfer can be tricky.

“Such an easy upgrade for my MacBook Air. Can't believe that Apple don't have this option for MacBook Air users. It's literally a 10 min upgrade. I will now probably grab a 480Gb card and go for more space. The drive seems a lot faster than the standard Apple drive that came with the Air. All in all, very happy with this purchase.”
